WestfalenWIND and ENERCON sign contract for 20 wind energy turbines

Implementation of the projects with together 20 x E-175 EP5 will start in 2026.

For wind energy projects in Bad Berleburg and Erndtebrück in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district, the WestfalenWIND planning office has ordered 20 ENERCON E-175 EP5 wind energy turbines, each with anoutput of around 6 MW, and two transformer stations from the Aurich-based manufacturer. The projects are developed in close co-operation with the Wittgenstein-Berleburg Pension Chamber, which provides the land on site. Each turbine has a height of around 240 metres (including rotor blade) and supplies the annual electricity for 4,500 households. Together, the turbines will soon supply around 90,000 households with clean electricity directly from the region.
